Medford already has the fields, the pools, and the programs, all built and run by the City of Medford Parks and Recreation Department. What some people don’t have are the resources to get involved.
Medford Play Foundation exists to close that gap by raising money to cover program fees, scholarships, and equipment costs, so every person’s opportunity is defined by their potential, not their circumstances.
We’re an independent nonprofit, separate from the City. We don’t run the programs. We help people access them, turning community generosity into program fees, scholarships, and equipment that enrich the quality of a person’s life.
If you believe communities thrive when people have the chance to play, learn, and belong, this is where your support makes a difference.
The mission of the Medford Play Foundation is to establish partnerships to finance and promote the value, use, and benefits of Medford parks, recreational facilities, and programs.
Applying is private, since we don’t publish names, and other participants in the program never need to know how your spot got covered. All we need to know is which program and what it costs.
A covered fee isn’t just access. It’s arriving on day one knowing there’s a place for you on the roster, in the group, and in your community. An equal opportunity to participate, discover what’s possible, and belong.
Every gift has the power to create opportunity.
Our all-volunteer board gives its time to help turn that generosity into access, covering program fees and helping more people participate in the programs that Parks and Recreation provides.
Some donors choose to give privately. Others want their name, family, or business connected to something they believe in. Both leave a mark. And both create opportunities for people in our community to participate, grow, and belong.
This community already looks out for its own. That’s what this Foundation is for, and if you already believe that, then we invite you to join us in our mission.
